School Infrastructure Development

Spherule Foundation transforms government schools through comprehensive infrastructure upgrades, creating safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environments. From reconstructing school buildings in remote locations like Ladakh’s Merak village to establishing accessible facilities for differently-abled students, our interventions focus on holistic development. We create boundary walls, refurbish flooring, install off-grid solar systems for uninterrupted power, ensure safe drinking water provision, and furnish schools with essential equipment. These upgrades directly improve enrollment rates, student retention, hygiene standards, and overall educational outcomes while benefiting entire communities, including students, teachers, parents, and support staff.

STEM Labs & Digital Classrooms

We establish fully-equipped STEM laboratories and digital classrooms in government schools, enabling hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students engage in projects, coding, robotics, and scientific investigations that develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Our Smart classroom setup transforms traditional classrooms into dynamic digital learning spaces. Teacher training programs ensure educators can effectively deliver STEM curriculum and sustain impact. Science fairs showcase student innovation and creativity. These interventions inspire students to pursue STEM careers, helping build a future-ready, technologically skilled workforce. The initiative has reached over 10,000 students across multiple states including Pune, Bangalore, and Trivandrum. Through this program, we approach individuals and CSR partners for funding the initial capital required for such individuals, which usually ranges from INR 5,000 to 25,000. Post the funding, we keep track of how they are performing with their venture, and also train the beneficiaries to use digital and financial tools, which can help grow their business. We have supported many types of ventures through this program like grocery shops, tailoring units, fish sellers, fruit sellers, ornament shops, electricians, beauty parlors etc. The zeal in their eyes and smiles on their faces say a lot about their will to restart their livelihood. Of course even after the pandemic, there will still be a need to revive livelihoods due to other reasons like natural calamities, personal & financial problems etc., and we, at Spherule Foundation, will only strive to help such individuals, one breath at a time.

Computer Labs

Digital literacy is fundamental to 21st-century education. Spherule sets up computer labs in government schools, bridging the digital divide between private and public institutions. Through corporate partnerships, we’ve donated computers and established functional labs where students gain hands-on experience with technology. These labs enable students to develop essential digital skills including basic computing, internet navigation, online research, and software applications. The computer labs complement our broader digital education initiatives, ensuring underprivileged children access the same technological resources as their urban counterparts. This early exposure to technology opens new career pathways and prepares students for an increasingly digital world.

Fun Playground and Sports

Physical education and recreation are integral to holistic child development. Spherule establishes fun playgrounds and sports facilities in government schools through ground leveling and game equipment support. These spaces provide children with opportunities for physical activity, team building, and recreational learning. Playgrounds promote physical fitness, coordination, and motor skills while offering stress relief from academic pressures. Sports activities teach discipline, teamwork, leadership, and healthy competition. Access to safe play areas encourages regular school attendance and creates joyful learning environments.

Foundation & Bridge Courses

Our Foundation and Bridge Courses are specially designed for students lagging behind academically, helping them clear foundational concepts in Math, Science, and English. Specialized educators focus on building strong basics through tailored activities based on each student’s learning level. The program emphasizes inclusiveness with activities focused on developing social skills, soft skills, life skills, and emotion regulation. These courses target students who are dropped out or weak in academics, particularly in schools where no government teacher is appointed or student-teacher ratios exceed 80.

After-School & Remedial Programs

The After-School Programme targets students who are grouped as ‘slow learners,’ providing focused support outside regular school hours. We emphasize the LSRW pattern i.e. Listening and understanding, Speaking, Reading, and Writing, to strengthen fundamental language and comprehension skills. Our educators conduct remedial classes for students weak in studies, helping them overcome learning barriers through personalized attention and innovative teaching methods. Operating in schools across Pune, Nandurbar, and Bangalore, including Anand Vidya Niketan, Z.P School Navgaon, and Government High School Manjunatha Nagara, the program has supported 1,400 students. Many participants have shown remarkable progress, regaining confidence and improving their academic standing significantly.

Educator Support in Schools

Spherule appoints dedicated educators in government schools where no government teacher is appointed or where student-teacher ratios exceed 80, ensuring quality education reaches every child. Our educators specialize in subjects like Math, Science, and English, conducting before, during, and after-school classes for students who are dropped out or weak in academics. This ongoing initiative has benefited over 60,000 students, addressing critical gaps in the education system and ensuring no child is left behind due to inadequate teacher availability or overwhelming classroom sizes.

InstaShala Learning App

InstaShala is our flagship mobile learning application providing quality educational content to underprivileged students. Launched during COVID-19 to bridge the educational gap caused by the pandemic and existing economic divide, the app offers free learning resources accessible on smartphones. We provide mobile devices, stationery kits, and free mobile data recharge to ensure uninterrupted access. The initiative includes comprehensive teacher training programs to maximize app effectiveness. Approved by PMC, PCMC, and ZP authorities, InstaShala has reached 15,000 students across Maharashtra (Pune, Nasik, Ratnagiri), Delhi, and Kolkata. The app enables students to learn at their own pace, access quality content anytime, and continue education despite resource constraints.

AI & Technology Education

Spherule integrates Artificial Intelligence education into government schools, particularly leveraging Bangalore’s status as a global tech hub. We equip students with foundational AI knowledge, machine learning concepts, and data science basics, preparing them for a rapidly evolving, AI-driven world. The program promotes critical thinking and problem-solving through AI-based learning while encouraging early exposure to cutting-edge technologies. Specialized teacher training ensures educators can effectively deliver AI content. Students benefit from industry-academic collaborations, practical exposure, and mentorship from the vibrant tech ecosystem. The initiative emphasizes ethical AI usage, career readiness, and real-world applications while ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all socioeconomic backgrounds, bridging the digital divide between private and public schools.

Educational Workshops & Awareness Sessions

We conduct diverse awareness sessions covering critical topics that complement formal education. These interactive workshops address issues like hygiene, sanitation, environmental conservation, health awareness, and social responsibility. Sessions include celebrations of important days like Environment Day, Science Day, Children’s Day, Independence Day, Yoga Day, and cultural festivals, creating memorable learning experiences. We organize creative competitions, cultural activities, and community engagement programs that encourage holistic development. Through these workshops, students develop broader perspectives, social consciousness, and essential life skills beyond academics. The sessions foster creativity, critical thinking, and responsible citizenship while strengthening connections between schools, families, and communities. Scholarship Initiatives

We provide educational scholarships to children from economically disadvantaged families, particularly those affected by crises like loss of a family member or job. These scholarships ensure that financial hardship doesn’t become a barrier to education, enabling students to continue their studies without interruption. By supporting school fees, uniforms, books, and other educational necessities, we help families maintain their children’s educational trajectory during difficult times. The scholarship program is part of our broader commitment to ensuring every child has access to quality education regardless of their economic circumstances. This intervention directly reduces dropout rates and promotes long-term educational achievement among vulnerable communities.
