Reviving Livelihood Program

Reviving Livelihood Program started to support vulnerable communities devastated by COVID-19 and other crises to restart their small businesses and achieve financial independence. We’ve empowered over 5,000 women entrepreneurs across Indian states through comprehensive business training, social security access, and resource support. The program includes business planning workshops, digital and financial literacy training, and customized equipment support for launching or expanding businesses like tailoring, tiffin services, beauty parlors, food services, and digital enterprises. Beneficiaries participate in Shark Tank-style competitions and receive customized branding materials, mentorship, and access to government schemes like ABHA, e-Shram, and MSME registration. The initiative has achieved 35- 40% average household income increase, greater social recognition, and enhanced decision-making roles for women. We’ve supported micropreneurs including dry fish sellers, tailors, artisans, general shop owners, cobblers, and vegetable vendors, fostering self-reliance and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Skill Development Courses

We provide comprehensive vocational training programs empowering underprivileged women with income-generating skills. Our certified training covers Tailoring (basic and advanced), Beauty & Cosmetology, and culinary arts including healthy cooking and masala making. Women receive hands-on training in safe, inclusive community centers through established training hubs. Over 1,000 women across locations including Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, and other cities have completed programs. Participants gain practical expertise and confidence through tailored workshops. Upon completion, each woman receives a professionally curated livelihood startup kit enabling immediate income-generating activities or enhanced job readiness. Many graduates have launched home-based services or secured jobs in tailoring units, salons, and catering businesses. The program includes life skills sessions, communication skills, and soft skills training, creating well-rounded professionals.

Digital & Financial Literacy

Spherule trains women entrepreneurs in digital empowerment and financial literacy, enabling them to run businesses efficiently and effectively. We’ve educated over 4,500 women micropreneurs across Delhi, Gurugram, Belgaum, Nuh, and other locations through basic and advanced sessions. Training includes the bookkeeping app for recording business transactions, Business Registration on Google Maps, Cash Flow Management, WhatsApp for Business Usage, Marketing Campaigns, and Business Communication. The program covers mobile banking, online marketing, and professional communication through individual sessions, small group sessions, mega sessions, and online workshops. Every participant completes digital and financial literacy modules equipping them with essential skills. We facilitate understanding and access to government social protection schemes. The sustained usage of digital applications demonstrates meaningful mindset change, helping entrepreneurs understand their businesses better and make informed growth decisions, enhancing business competitiveness significantly.

Entrepreneurship Mentorship Programs

The program covers multiple aspects of entrepreneurship through well-designed curriculum delivered in online and offline formats. Exposure trips and book reading workshops create networking opportunities and build supportive communities. Sessions create safe spaces for sharing, learning, and mutual support among women entrepreneurs. Corporate employees mentor beneficiaries by sharing experiences and inputs, providing real-world guidance. The program includes market linkage events providing unique exposure where beneficiaries experiment with various business models and strategies. Selected participants receive returnable grants for business growth and expansion.

Micro-Entrepreneurship Support

We provide targeted support for micro-entrepreneurs across diverse sectors including street vendors, catering businesses, handmade jewelry makers, fruit and vegetable vendors, stone artisans, tailors, general stores, and dry fish businesses. We complete thorough due diligence covering socio-economic profiles, background checks, and relevant qualifications. Deserving beneficiaries receive head starts to initiate and sustain small businesses, earning sustainable livelihoods. Our baseline surveys identify needs across key neighborhoods, selecting beneficiaries based on economic distress and determination to rebuild. We provide startup kits and capital support to restart businesses.

SHG Empowerment

Spherule works with Self-Help Groups promoting collective economic empowerment and community mobilization. Through SHG models, we facilitate women coming together for mutual support, savings, and collective business ventures. These groups provide platforms for skill sharing, resource pooling, and collaborative problem-solving. SHG members benefit from group training programs, access to microfinance, and collective bargaining power. By empowering women collectively, SHGs multiply impact beyond individual beneficiaries, transforming entire communities through shared prosperity, mutual support, and collective advancement toward economic independence and social empowerment.
