Spherule Foundation received the 2025 Mahatma Award for Social Good & Impact. It is one of the highest global honours for social commitment. Other winners include names like Ratan Tata, Azim Premji, Sudha Murty, ISRO,, IBM Foundation, Twitter for Good, and Microsoft Philanthropy.

Dr Geeta Bora was honoured by the London Chambers of Commerce and the UK Parliament for her exceptional contribution to social work. The award celebrates altruism, compassion, and the enduring power of one individual’s commitment to creating positive change.

Dr Geeta Bora was awarded the prestigious “Global Leader Award” at the India-Russia Summit in Moscow, presented during Russia’s Victory Day celebrations and attended by global dignitaries.

The program, held in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Government and SUNFO Global, took place at Asia’s largest convention center, BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall).

Dr Geeta Bora represented Spherule Foundation at the Global Research Conference at the University of Oxford, presenting a paper on women’s economic empowerment and launching the book *Moon Time* on an international platform. The recognition highlights Spherule’s commitment to research-driven, open-source solutions for social change. The paper is titled “Empowering Underprivileged Women: Catalyst for a Better World through their Economic Advancement.”

Dr Geeta Bora has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Vikramshila University, one of the ancient centers of learning now being revived in Bihar. The recognition marks a new chapter in her journey of advancing education and fostering innovative social development.

Dr Geeta Bora was honoured with the Global Leader Award at the Russia Summit 2025, presented by the Moscow City Government, BRICS, and the Global Economic Forum. The award celebrates her leadership in driving meaningful global change through innovation, collaboration, and compassion.

Spherule Foundation’s Dr Geeta Bora has been featured in the list that honours the nation’s influential and visionary leaders.

“Global Icon Award” at the G20, Global Economic Forum Summit Indonesia, Bali for year 2022. In year 2022, Indonesia had the G20 Presidency. The Indonesian government awarded 25 Indian nationals who have contributed exceptionally well in their fields.

Spherule Foundation is awarded as “The Best NGO for their work on Gender Equality at Workplace” by the Indian CSR Awards held at Gurugram for the year 2022.

Our film “Pie in the Sky”, on menstrual hygiene, has been awarded at the Maha Arogya Film Festival held at the National Film Archive, Pune. This film has also been selected to be screened in all schools across Maharashtra.

For authoring an illustrative book “Moon Time” on menstrual health and hygiene for girls.

VNWC Award from MLA Jagdish Mulik, Pune, for extensive work towards improving menstrual health and hygiene in the year 2017.
